TCRX 1155

Built in 1974 for Seaboard Coast Lines in there Waycross Ga Shops. This M-8 Wide Vision Caboose originally started its life as a SCL box car. SCL converted 45 of their older box cars into these new M-8 Cabooses. Originally the caboose was wearing orange paint and the Family Lines signage, which later gave way to FLS’s branding of grey, red and yellow. 1155 would be acquired by the museum in 1993 and, with the help of Operation Lifesaver, was repainted into this attractive red and white scheme to promote public safety around railroads. The interior is mostly original, with the addition of an OLS display board.
